Two years ago I visited my boyfriend in Maryland for the first time. It was a fabulous week and when I came home I thought I’d draw out some of the key moments I remembered. This was our first, out of many, trips to the Baltimore Coffee and Tea shop. Naturally I drew us as cats, because…it’s what I do! I decided to color it with some watercolor pencils today. Trying to keep it as close to actual colors. Only for paintings do I wish I wore more color. >.>

Cats, Cacti, & Succulents
Is it Memorial Day weekend yet? I’ve been waiting to start planting, and here in NW PA we’ve been told for the past 6 (or is it 7?) years that we’ve lived here, “Don’t plant before Memorial Day!” Why? Because frost. No kidding, it snowed just a few days ago. Ridiculous.
“The Potting Room”

It’s that time of year! Getting our seeds planted, with help from the cats of course. =P

Thankfully, these cats didn’t have to wait, their plants were already potted, or being potted! I was going to start planting in the ground yesterday, but it poured all day. I’m thinking this might have been a sign. “Remember…Memorial Day…”
