Oooweee this week is going to be a scorcher around the U.S. These kitties were lucky enough to have access to a pool to cool off!
Loafing On A Floatie
“Loafing On A Floatie”
-Painted with Golden acrylics. – 10″ x 8″ Mounted Wood -Topped with two coats of matte varnish. -Signed, titled, and dated on the back by me!
What a treat this kitties had access to a pool during this heat wave! Though it seemed someone was loafing on the floatie a little long-other kitties were waiting to ride the floatie!
My latest painting was totally inspired by a doodle I made last night on the iPad. I’m definitely thinking cool pool thoughts as I hide away in my air conditioned house this week. The illustration of the loafing kitty on the unicorn floatie is available on many items in my Society6 shop. It’s particularly cute on a beach towel!
The joy of cracking open a new-to-you book, delving right into another world, and meeting all sorts of people. Summer is the best time for the children to partake in new adventures. The kids are enjoying my birthday books. =)
Surf’s up, dude! This is the sequel to a pretty random drawing I did a couple years ago. It started out for “drawing day” on RedBubble, then turned into a painting. I thought it was time to see the cat actually in the water. =)
We’ve never lived in a place where we weren’t by the ocean, so living in Pennsylvania probably wasn’t the best pick for us. We think this in hindsight, of course. From Long Beach, California, to Reykjavik, Iceland, Alicante, Spain, Portland, Oregon……….to Oil City, PA. Odd choice right? Anyway, even though we’re right by the river, it just doesn’t equal the ocean. (plus I don’t think anyone goes in the Allegheny, not here.) So today’s painting is about a Summer Holiday to the beach, or to a pool, somewhere where there’s palm trees-oh how I suddenly miss palm trees!
It’s starting to get pretty warm here, so we bought one of those 10′ x 30″ pools for the children. Â After the thunderstorms pass I’ll get it all set up. I’m sure I’ll end up wading in it too at some point this summer. But for now, I’ll live vicariously through these three cats, relaxing poolside, under some palm trees. =^..^=
