The Winter Slump is Almost Over

Oh sweet spring, I can see you in the not-too-distant future! The snow is melting, then re-freezing, and melting some more. We’ve got our garden foods and flower seeds ready to start-I can’t wait!

Collecting Easter Eggs

Happy Easter! We decided to forgo the whole ‘egg hunta’, dying eggs, eating tons of chemically-treated sweets, and stuff. Instead the kids enjoyed the normal egg hunt of, “Hey who wants to go see if the girls laid any eggs?!” Five eggs today! All 5 girls laid, so that’s awesome. Inc. deviled eggs! We had one more go with the rabbit mask, before we put it away for another year, for fear I’ll over-use it…if I haven’t already. >.>

Who wants to lay some Easter eggs?!
A chicken in a basket is worth two…in..a…bush?
We’ve got eggs!

Tucked in a perfect trunk of a tree, Rabbit always found himself lost in a good book while in his reading den. Surrounded by fireflies, and a light lit by more in a jar, this was his favorite spot!

The Siamese Cat & The Rabbit

The White Rabbit
The White Rabbit

Sitting at my desk last night I was thinking about what to paint and kept thinking about rabbits. The past three days we’ve seen the elusive neighborhood ‘white rabbit’ that someone dumped outside. He was hanging out with a wild brown rabbit. We were surprised when the white rabbit allowed us to get close enough for some photos! Anyhow, since then I’ve been thinking about rabbits.
