So apparently this is a thing, painting teeny tiny models for tabletop games. This isn’t something I’m into and really haven’t paid much attention to, but I have a lot of friends who are into the Warhammer models, and who do paint their own models. So after hanging out in Twitch chat watching my friend painting models, some people in chat introduced me to a cat-like model, the Mindstealer Sphiranx. I was like, “Oh hey, that looks like a cat, I’d paint that maybe?” They have special very very very thin paint apparently for painting these, but I stuck with my tried and true Golden Paint acrylics, just thinned them down a little.
So now I’ve painted two of them and want to paint a third just because why not. THEN, they told me about more actual cats, teeny tiny models in a set called Cats and Catacombs. I bought one of the two volumes of 6 cats. It wasn’t until they arrived that I really understood just how small these models were. The Mindstealer’s were small, but not ridiculously small. The cats are smaller than a quarter! So far I have painted two of the six and am giving my eyes a rest before I paint the others. **Edit- I will be finishing the bases, just waiting on some lovely flower and grass tufts from the U.K. Pretty excited about that!

So, what am I going to do with this little models? Absolutely no clue to be honest! I was thinking maybe I’ll get some little glass globe things that can go over them, and then sit them very high up on shelves where the cats do not go.
