It’s never, ever easy. Today, we realized, our little Pi Yao’s time had come. He was born in our home when we took in his Mother during the winter. She was a stray, who turned out to have a home with some very questionable people. We let her go back, only to find her at our door the next morning. Pi Yao suffered from Manx syndrome. Born with an cyst and an exposed spinal cord. It was amazing he lived so long, 5 months. He suddenly became very ill and we knew it wasn’t good. An infection in his spinal cord. I received a message from my mother while I was at work this morning, asking if I could call the vet, it was time. As I broke down, asking my boss if I could leave, she said of course. I held little Pi Yao’s paws as he drifted off into his forever sleep. We’re all devastated. Rest in peace, our sweet little baby Pi Yao.

Ahh, it’s feeling like Autumn today! (Yesterday was miserable, so let’s not talk about that) I thought I’d do a little photoshoot with Anna, a book, the fireplace, and some old fake logs. Oh and why not a chicken! It’s been a while since I involved a chicken in a shoot. Kittens kept photo-bombing the shots, but that’s ok.
Unfortunately, I can’t decide which I like the most, so I had to upload them all.
