Charles the cat and Timmy the elephant, planned a great rescue for the three mice of the circus. Timmy would lift the bottom of the tent, while Charles played a fun little tune to lure them out. It worked!

Surf’s Up!

Surf's Up, Riding the Wave

Surf’s up, dude! This is the sequel to a pretty random drawing I did a couple years ago. It started out for “drawing day” on RedBubble, then turned into a painting. I thought it was time to see the cat actually in the water. =)

The Cat Alarm #2

Those of us with cats know this alarm very, very well! Whether you had your own alarm set for 6 or 7 a.m., the cats’ alarm comes around 3 a.m.

...lots of kitties.
It wasn’t as easy to recreate it during the daytime.

The Eastlake Room Cats

The Eastlake Room Cats
The Eastlake Room Cats

I’m a huge fan of Eastlake furniture. Growing up with a house full of antiques, I never changed my love of them (seeing as most of those antiques are in this house), and like to include things around the house in my paintings. Now most of you with cats will think this unrealistic. The vase would be knocked over, the flowers spewed across the floor, maybe some petals stuck to the walls, and those chairs would be shredded. This painting is more like the “calm before the storm” as I think I might actually paint it again with a more overboard representation of a cat room. =P

Saint Patrick’s Day

It’s usually around this time of year that I truly missed Portland. Every Saint Patrick’s Day we’d head over to the tents at Kell’s Irish Pub to watch the live music, dancers, see the huge Irish Wolfhounds walking around. A very fun and lively time-I miss it.
