This kitty was ready for autumn! With his scarf, coffee, and pumpkin, he thought it was the purrfect day for an autumn bicycle ride!
July 24th was my birthday and it was the best weather day so far this July! Cool, at times cold, and no humidity! We went to a book sale at a local Episcopal church and scored on a lot of great classics. I had an internet friend visit from Alabama, which was super awesome! I showed her this tiny little town and stopped for a bite to eat at my friend’s restaurant. Then to finish the day, Anna begged me to let her take a kitten to the local pet show, which her best friend was going to along with Flurry the goldfish. I gave in and we went. Peaches ended up winning 1st place in unusual markings, 2nd place for prettiest eyes, and 3rd place for fluffiest-though technically he should have won 1st place for that. haha =P It was a great day.
Anabell loved to play dress up with her cats. This time she decided to have a woodland costume party. The cats happily participated.
She loved to stand in the ocean, dreaming of being at sea on her own boat. The cats, however, spent their time in little boats beside her.
This is wee little Claire. She is a manx kitten born with very splayed legs. She’s the fastest runner out of the litter and her legs are beginning to stay underneath her body when she runs. We tried the hobbling technique of binding the legs but she’d slip right out of the wrap, so then we tried the heat/stretch therapy. I’m thinking that worked. =)
Ok, not really. I don’t think such a day exists. But as I’m currently fighting with a new painting, I offer you a photo of kittens. =)
Nathan the father cat thought it’d be exciting to take the kittens on a fishing trip. Two out of the three kittens weren’t very sure about the whole water thing, but the third was thrilled!
Eleanor and Lenora sat side by side, as proper kittens would, for their pretty pink portrait.
