I’m used to painting on wood, so delving into watercolors on paper was bit of a change for me. I knew there had to be a way to be able to paint with the watercolors, and still use my wood. Then I found watercolor ground! I wasn’t sure how well it was going to work, but I put a couple layers on top of the wood, waited a couple days for it to cure, and voila! It worked. I was pleasantly surprised at just how absorbent the ground is, almost more than the standard paper. I’m happy to be able to offer watercolor paintings on wood, as well as on paper.
