Sending DMCAs to Facebook is fun and not totally annoying when you get a bot that doesn't work! /s seriously though, it's so hit or miss. Photos showing their response to a DMCA, my links, my original painting, ripped off painting on a sweater -and before you think omg that's so cute! Look at the last photo. It's a garbage mockup. #lifeofanartist #dmca #ugh #arttheft #artist

You'll have to indulge me for a moment. The past few days have been plagued with sending DMCA's out, and lovely people sending me messages making me aware of new shops popping up, stealing my art (along with a plethora of other artist's art.) This is the main reason I'm swapping to this format for my pictures, instead of a scaled down scan of my image to share. Copyright watermarks didn't stop anyone, they sell my art with watermarks across the image, if they're too lazy to take it off. So yeah, art thieves suck!

These kitties opened up a Halloween bakery! I have my eye on those ghost cookies! 😸👻

It's time to trick or is it time to treat!? They weren't sure, but either way, Halloween was going to be fun for this crew! I originally painted this for my Picklelips weird art line, but that's a much larger painting, and I wanted a smaller version of it. Also, please note going forward, for the protection of my artwork all of my art images will be in this format.

Instead of enjoying my dirty chai and working on a painting and ornaments this morning, my sacred work time, I'm collecting urls and looking up hosts and sending out DMCA's because this is what artists are dealing with. You'd think, "hey AI sucks but maybe art thieves will just use that crap and stop stealing our art directly." but no, they can't even do that. Please, PLEASE don't buy from these pop up drop shipping sites. I know they look like real websites, they pop up on your Facebook I guess with ads and suggested pages with cute images on clothing. They're not real. I haven't even gotten the bottom left kitty up in all MY shops yet because I just painted him like last week. It's early, and this is overwhelming, but damn some times I honestly just want to stop because there is no way to beat this. You take one site down and 10 more pop up, and they pump so much in advertising and people can't help but buy something cheap and cute. It's ridiculous. And I know a lot of artists feel the same, and we could spend hours every day do this, sending takedowns (those in the U.S.) and we'd still not get them all removed. I haven't even looked at Amazon this year, but I get messages, I know they're there.
